Full time position. Shifts could vary between 9-12 hours.
The Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant will perform waived and moderate phases of testing. Candidate must have knowledge of specimen requirements and understanding of all regulations regarding sample collection, handling and processing. Must demonstrate knowledge of appropriate venipuncture and capillary sites of blood collection. They will follow standard operating procedures and ensure laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met. Employee will serve as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborate with other departments when necessary. Employee must demonstrate critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem solving and will be expected to perform other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma required.
