SHARON NAASZ NAMED WINNER REGIONAL HEALTHCARE CENTER "STAR OF THE QUARTER"
POSTED: APR 28, 2010
Sharon Naasz, Education Coordinator and registered nurse, was recently named "Star of the Quarter" at Winner Regional Healthcare Center. Naasz was nominated for the award by Eric Curtis, CNA.
Naasz has worked for Winner Regional Healthcare Center for 17 years, and truly has enjoyed her time here. When she accepted the award, she spoke of her time at Winner Regional Healthcare Center.
"My 'Star of the Quarter' award is a reflection of the people I work with. I have often heard people commenting on the wages and benefits offered at bigger facilities. I have worked at bigger facilities and I can tell you that the feeling of family here is phenomenal! If it is 'Eat Lunch with Your Child' day at school, someone covers so you can go. If you want to leave early to get to one of your children's athletic events, someone covers so you can do exactly that". Naasz appreciates the fact that the employees of Winner Regional Healthcare Center look out for each other and care for each other.
Naasz shared some very kind words about the Long Term Care Center as well. "It wasn't until my dad was in the Long Term Care Center here at Winner Regional recovering from a stroke that I experienced the nursing home from a family member's point of view. The staff was wonderful, not only to my dad, but to my mother and the rest of my family as well. They answered my questions, and when we found ourselves in unfamiliar territory, they took the time to explain things".
We're very proud of Sharon and she truly is an examplary employee. Her co-workers echo the sentiment of family and say that Sharon is always willing to go the extra-mile for others, as well.
Naasz said she was once asked if she ever regretted becoming a nurse. Her answer was, "I can honestly say I haven't ever regretted becoming a nurse! We've been through some tough situations here at Winner Regional, but I can't imagine working anywhere else".
Congratulations, Sharon! Thank you for your service and committment to our facility!
